Install jdm transmission in a usdm car...

I have a 93 3000gt vr-4 5 speed. The car didn't move (as if the clutch were slipping), so i pulled out the transmission and installed a new OEM clutch. After I reinstalled everything, still had the same problem. After some closer inspection, it looked like the splines on the transmission output shaft, and the also the ones where it inserts into the transfer case were worn.

Did some research and turned out that the cheapest thing would be to get a replacement tranny. I just received a JDM tranny marked "PG1671" "W5M332NNVR" and my suppiler told me that it would fit into my car. It looks quite a bit different from the outside, for example the motor mount mounting point, etc.

I'd appreciate if anyone could give me some advice on how to proceed, and/or what i need to get in order to make this tranny work.

Thanks

The 5spd awd jturbo dm tranny is exactly the same as usdm. As already pointed out, you got a jdm na tranny. The jdm awd 6 speed does have different gearing than the usdm tho, which can be installed with minor changes (even less changes for use on a 1st gen), but that's not the issue here.

I got my transmission from my JDM retailer, who i get all my Motors and Transmissions from. He charged me $900.00 shipped. I just got of the phone with him and he told me that the transmission came off a Japanese '92 Twin Turbo 3000gt engine. I told him that the serial number on the transmission case indicates that the transmission is a jdm non-turbo all-wheel drive transmission. Now he told me to take pictures and send them in.

If they can't get me the right transmission, i'll let you know. How much do you want for yours including transfer?
